ぶらぶら@品川

i walked around shinagawa quite a bit today because i was forced to wait for 4 hours for my new visa/new alien registration card. only when they handed me the new card that i found out my work permit has expired along with my old visa and i have to come back again soon to this dirty ol’ immigration building to apply again if i were to baito in the next semester-_-

anyway i came to realise that shinagawa kinda reminds me of an upscale version of kota damansara/bandar utama because of the numerous high rise condominiums. most of these were made of glass. oh and they also had little parks attached to the condos (theyre called mansions here in japan btw) and actual shops/supermarkets on the ground floor, much like our condos back home. this kinda facilities aren really common in tokyo so i can safely assure u that the properties here must cost A BOMB. i totally wouldn mind living here haha dreams.

i also noticed that there were many community facilities like a homely looking gym and many parks and park benches placed strategically along the riverside. quite a pretty place at night. but the weird thing is there was hardly anyone around enjoying those stuff. anyway in the picture below i was trying to capture the nicely planted trees and with a few condos as background but i realised ive forgotten to include a bit of sky in the photo so it looks kinda strange haha.
brunch: rice cooked in chicken rice broth mixed with half boiled egg

tea: cafe mocha at wired cafe. ive seen this cafe at various places around tokyo but todays my first time patronizing it and i gotta say, its great! conducive environment, equipped with wifi (which is rare in japan btw) and ipads like this and portals for u to charge ur phones/ipods. its WIRED indeed. haha i spent 2 hours there reading up on some online resources for my essay

then it was dinnertime so i ordered me some mexican salad.

supper: this yamazaki pizza-style burger for 105 yen. for the same price i could get a cheeseburger from mcds but alas mcds has not made it to toritsukasei yet.
